Bachelorette Party

I had such a great time visiting with family & friends when I had my bachelorette party—it was so much fun—very laid back—started at the house & then we went to Howl At The Moon at Power & Light and sang all night long, a little dancing and lots of drinking.  To Amber, Jordy & Jahan—The memories are priceless!bachelorette party

Down To The Wire

The tent, tables & chairs have been rented—pray for no rain that day!  We finished paying off the band & ordered the Kegs!  Photographer & Minister secured.  Centerpieces being completed. 12 solid hours of yard work yesterday…….more to do today. I pick up the dress this Friday.—Cake is in great hands (my Sister), all that is left to do is decorate and set up-and buy groceries…….I can’t thank enough people for all their help on this endeavor—they are priceless.  Chuck—you’ve been so wonderful!

March 18th, 2010

Engagement ring delivered on the stem of a beautiful rose--he knows me well. I didn't see the ring for a while. He asked me to put the flower in a vase-I couldn't figure out why as we were getting ready to watch one of the March maddness basketball games.....duh when I saw the ring--I was speechless (doesn't happen very often) ha! It's beautiful!

Wedding of the year

Carrie has accepted my proposal for marriage. (lucky girl!) We are planning to wed on September 18, 2010 at The Farm. We have decided to spend most of our money and energy on the party to follow a relatively short ceremony. At this time we have booked the band, Satisfaction, A Rolling Stones Experience, to play that evening.

We are looking forward to a huge party. Although still in much of the planning stages, we are going to get hitched at about 6:18 pm on that Saturday. Outdoor dinner to follow. As this is expected to be a huge blow out, we are encouraging our guests to plan on staying if they desire. We suggest camping out (literally) here that night. At this time we are expecting 200 plus, so the house will be reserved for immediate family, however we have plenty of land and area available for camping. We encourage those that plan to party to stay. The Farm is about 50 miles north of the Kansas City metro and we really don't want anyone driving that shouldn't. Although the ceremony won't be until after 6 pm, all guests can feel free to come up in the afternoon to stake out their claim for tent space, or camper trailer space, etc. A keg could be tapped early! Many more details to follow as we finalize plans, so stay tuned.
